Guess whose back?

It’s the fifth month of 2017 and I’m back. I owe you all an explanation as to where I have been for the past 4 weeks.  April was a ridiculously busy month for me and I began to crumble under the pressures of my responsibilities. Work has been so busy that I’ve had to do tasks outside of my usual working hours, which is not unusual in my profession. However combine that with writing an essay for uni, as well as other ventures I have, meant that I had to take a short break from blogging. I truly love writing and blogging but when life becomes hectic you have to be able to prioritise and I had to focus on other tasks that required my attention.

Here is a summary of what I got up to in April:

I completed my Yoruba Beginner’s Class and passed my end of course test (yay me). As I have had a busy few months, I haven’t been practising as I should and therefore I intend to do so for the next three months in preparation to start the intermediate class in August.

My brother-in-law turned 30, so my sis threw him a surprise American Football themed get together.

I attended Lizzie Loves Meet and Greet. She’s such a sweet person. I definitely left encouraged and inspired to continue blogging.

My godson turned 1! I’m such a proud god mummy.

I’ve been trying to be intentional about making time to read, I’m currently behind schedule. I should have read 8 books by now, and I’m currently on book number 4 but I know by the end of the year I will have read 24 books.

Currently loving The “Girl” Entrepreneurs by Mrs Ibukun Awosika, who is my new favourite. I love being inspired by women who are game changers. Once again thank you to Real Talk with Sarah Alonge for helping my buy this book.

My first post for Adzvice was published, “How To Let Go Of Your Ex-Partner”read here

I interviewed for a position at TedxPeckham and I’m happy to say that I was successful. I am officially a TedxPeckham team member. This event will take place on the 16th July 2017 and the theme is Think Again. Follow TedxPeckham on Twitter and Instagram to be kept up to date.

I’ve have also been getting prepared to start my YouTube channel so watch this space, my channel will be launching on the 4th June 2017.

I’ve discovered that roughly after the age of 25, time seems to fly by and therefore we must remember to be intentional about meeting our goals. We may stray away from our timelines but it is important to never lose faith. God rewards those who work hard and remain committed.

Until next time.
